API Gateway Integration: On-board Kong Cloud

Prerequisite

In order to complete the onboarding process, you will need:

• An account within your Kong Cloud environment that has the Super Admin role.

Instructions

1. Log into your Super Admin Kong account.

2. On the main management page, go to the Teams > RBAC Tokens section.

3. Select your workspace named default (it should be the one selected by default).

4. Click on the Add New User button:

   Open

   

5. Set a unique username.

6. Generate a User Token that we will use to connect to your Kong environment. (We recommend generating a random UUID, for example using https://www.uuidgenerator.net/)

7. Click on Add/Edit Roles and select the read-only access:

   Open

   

8. Send to support@datatheorem.com:

   • The subdomain of your admin endpoint (e.g. admin-abc in https://admin-abc.kong-cloud.com).

   • The User Token.
