How to disable Multi-Factor Authentication on Mulesoft user accounts

Setting up Data Theorem’s access to Mulesoft requires a user account without Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enabled. Mulesoft has begun enabling MFA automatically, requiring users to opt out.

MFA can be disabled on an existing user account by a user with administrator privileges for the organization. Mulesoft's documentation provides some guidance under Exempt Users from Multi-factor Authentication (note that the Business Groups menu no longer appears in Access Management).

 Instructions

  1. Log in to Anypoint Platform using an account that has the Organization Administrator permission.Click the Invite user button

  2. In the navigation bar or the main Anypoint Platform page, click Access Management.

  3. In the Access Management navigation menu, click Identity Providers.

  4. Click the name of the identity provider (or IdP) for which you want to manage multi-factor authentication.

  5. In the Exempt Accounts section, add the accounts that you want to exempt.

  6. Only users who do not use single sign-on (SSO) appear in this list.

  7. Click Save.

  8. The exempt user accounts appear in the Exempt Accounts section.
