How to Manually Upload an App

To manually upload pre-production or internal apps for scanning, complete the following steps:

Step-by-step guide

  1. Login to sourcetheorem.com portal using your Data Theorem account.
  2. Click on the DevSecOps menu (bottom left) → Manual Upload.

  3. Go to Upload from Manual App Upload tile.
  4. For apps requiring authentication, you may enter test credentials via the Username and Password fields in the form. If the app requires additional steps for authentication, such as 2FA via SMS or entering a login account domain, please detail requirements in the comments section.

    PLEASE NOTE

Static and unauthenticated dynamic scans will still be completed by default for apps requiring additional authentication steps. If additional authentication steps are required, they will need to be configured by the Data Theorem support team prior to a fully authenticated scan being completed. You may contact your account representative or email support@datatheorem.com for updates on additional authentication steps being configured for the app.

  5. Drag and drop the mobile app (APK or IPA) file into the window and your mobile app will begin uploading for scanning. You may also choose the SELECT FILE option to navigate to the app on your local file system.
  6. Once the mobile app has successfully uploaded, it will be added to the Data Theorem analyzer engine queue. The app will appear under the “All Applications” section in the App Secure portal. Manually uploaded apps will be listed with “- PreProd” at the end of their name.
